JOB SUMMARY:

The mission of the TSA Office of Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal
Service (OLE/FAMS) is to promote public confidence in the security
of our nation's transportation domain. To achieve this mission,
OLE/FAMS deploys Federal Air Marshals on U.S. aircraft worldwide;
conducts law enforcement operations, protection, response, detection, and assessment activities in airports and other transportation systems; maintains TSA's state of preparedness and coordinates incident management; trains and manages all armed pilots; and coordinates all TSA canine assets.



As federal law enforcement officers, Federal Air Marshals are responsible for policing and securing the nation's transportation systems, protecting U.S. commercial aviation assets in foreign countries, making arrests (with and without arrest warrants), participating in criminal investigations, seeking and executing arrest and search warrants, testifying in court proceedings, conducting interviews and interrogations, representing the U.S. government in foreign countries, and working closely with other U.S. and foreign law enforcement agencies. DESCRIPTION OF THE DUTIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITION:

This is an open continuous announcement. Please apply now to: PERM-OCR-0462-5/6/7-REC/OHV-G(internal with government status), PERM-OCR-0462-5/6/7-REC/OHV-DP (external-open to the public). Incumbent will serve as a Fee Collection Officer and Level 2 Forest Protection Officer. Performs a variety of technical work in support of the recreation program. This position provides the skill and knowledge needed to administer Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) trail maintenance, OHV program, operation and maintenance of OHV area (including campgrounds and staging areas, enforcement of regulations, recreation volunteer programs and supervise temporary trail crews.)

The Inyo National Forest intends to fill a permanent part-time OHV and Dispersed Recreation patrol position for the Mount Whitney Ranger District.

MAJOR DUTIES

Incumbent independently, and in accordance with safe working practices, patrols motorized dispersed areas in a variety of settings in order to provide visitor information and education on tread lightly motorized use concepts. Incumbent monitors resource conditions, makes law enforcement contacts when necessary, and performs minor recreation maintenance in dispersed areas of the Mount Whitney Ranger District.

The Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) is looking for multiple GS-13/14 research analysts to join our team. This position could be filled by an accomplished human resources specialist or personnel research psychologist.
MSPB is responsible for conducting comprehensive studies of Federal personnel systems to ensure that they are merit-based. We also review the rules, regulations, and significant actions of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
