5 vacancies – WEST LOS ANGELES, CA

This position is located in the Hospital Operations Unit of Nursing Service at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (GLA) in West Los Angeles. Duties and responsibilities include:

· Responsible for the safe and timely transport of patients.

· Transports patients via wheelchair or gurney and/or accompanies ambulatory patients who need assistance to various areas within the medical facility.

· Assists patients to and from transport vehicles.

· Ensures patients are properly dressed.

· Ensures patients have proper identification band and routing slip with destination indicated.

· Assist with telephone duties, appointment lists, master schedule and other special projects of a clerical nature.
