Assisting the disabled:
When you begin to research for federal jobs you will be able to locate at least 15,000 vacancies, for which people with disabilities are eligible. There are positions such as Accountant, Engineer, Public Affairs Specialist, Scientist, Technical Writer and more.
|
The best way for a person with a disability to apply for a job is to locate information, application forms, apply for positions online, and sign up for the USAJOBS system where you will receive email job notices. The Federal Governments official site is USAJOBS.
This site http://www.usdoj.gov/crt/ada/adahom1.htm provides information regarding the U.S. Department of Justice, Americans with Disabilities Act. The Federal HR Professionals are familiar with recruiting and hiring standards regarding people with all types of disabilities, requirements, and appointment processes. A good resource is on HR topics is www.opm.gov/disability

about employment with disabilities, and much of what has been
proclaimed as fact is really just folklore.
