As a Special Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Driving a protective vehicle and being thoroughly familiar with routes, time frames and sites; assisting in coordinating motorcades; maintaining a fleet of government vehicles.
- Standing post and conducting security inspections of facilities; controlling access of visitors and inspecting mail and packages; searching, inspecting and maintaining vehicles.
- Monitoring and operating various communication and other equipment; operating magnetometers.
- Searching crime scenes and seized vehicles; cataloguing evidence.
- Maintaining and inventorying property, equipment, weapons and munitions; issuing weapons to gun carrying personnel; serving as an emergency responder.
