The Position:
The CCC is inviting recently discharged veterans to apply for a demanding job that combines hands-on work experience and skill training in basic construction, lighting, electricity, and resource work.
Through the Sierra College CACT Technical Education in Energy Efficiency & Construction curriculum, CCC employees will earn a certificate of completion in lighting and electrical technology.
Successful candidates will work on energy efficiency projects with the DMV and other state agencies. Employees will work on both commercial and resi-dential construction projects, landscaping, and tree work.
Prior to completing the program, CCC employees will work with Sierra College CACT in the areas of resume development, interviewing skills, job searching, and job placement.

Qualifications:
Honorable Discharge, or General Discharge under Honorable Conditions (Provide DD214) 18-25 years of age Not on formal probation or parole Free of convictions for violent offenses or drug crime Able to pass background check, drug test, physical exam and training Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather and conditions Willing to respond to emergencies Willing to participate in education programs.
